ATS-1R Pinlock Percision Tone - Sun Reactive Lens Insert

The Pinlock® Precision Tone™ lens automatically adjusts its tint in response to changes in light conditions. It darkens when exposed to bright sunlight and lightens when the light intensity decreases. The technology works seamlessly.

Photochromic molecules:
The lens is made of a special material that contains photochromic molecules. These molecules undergo a chemical reaction when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light. As the photochromic molecules absorb UV light, they darken; when UV exposure decreases, they return to a lighter state.

The Pinlock Precision Tone lens provides optimal vision in various lighting conditions without the need to carry or swap multiple visors.

Cloudy conditions → Clear
In cloudy weather, when light intensity is low, the photochromic molecules lighten, allowing more light to pass through.

Sunny conditions → Light Smoke
In bright sunlight, when light intensity is high, the molecules darken to reduce the amount of light transmitted through the lens.
