Boost Your Defender HD7s Game with GDP Portals
Take your Can-Am Defender HD7 to the next level with SuperATVs 4 Portal Gear Lift. With a built-in gear reduction and 6 inches of lift; you get more torque; improved ground clearance; and the ability to run bigger tires without overloading your machine. Pick between a 15% or 30% gear reduction to match your riding style; and for extra durability; swap the cast housing for our billet aluminum option. Plus; you can upgrade to our Dual Idlers for maximum strength and performance.
What Is a Dual Idler?
Its all about the details with our dual idler gear portals. Two idler gears mean the load is spread out; giving you a stronger setup—but only if they mesh perfectly. Thats why we rely on precision CNC grinding and 9310 steel to make sure every gear is just right.
Designed to Match Your Riding Style
GDP Portal Gear Lifts are built to handle every kind of riding. From dunes and mud to fast trails and daily work; theres a setup to match your needs. Choose a 15% gear reduction for quicker acceleration with plenty of torque; or a 30% reduction for maximum power and massive tires.
Your Drivetrain Stays Protected
By placing the gear reduction directly in the wheel hub; GDP portals reduce the load transferred through the drivetrain. This design helps protect important parts like your axles; differential; prop shafts; and transmission by limiting the strain caused by oversized tires.
Built Tough with Aluminum and Steel
We built these portals to take a beating. The cast and billet aluminum housings are tough enough for serious abuse; and the advanced steel alloy backing plates add strength you wont find anywhere else.
Advanced Gaskets; Seals; and Bearings
Our portals use:
Dont Forget a Frame Stiffener
Portals and oversized tires deliver serious fun; but they also put extra strain on your machines frame. Strengthen your suspension setup by adding a SuperATV Frame Stiffener when installing your new HD7 portals.

- Our housings are reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow
- Advanced steel alloy backing plates are stronger than chromoly
- Enhance with Portal Blood—gear oil formulated for GDP Portals
- There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them
Advanced Gaskets; Seals; and Bearings
Our portals use:
- Advanced gaskets and O-rings with excellent oil resistance and low deterioration rates
- A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
- 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks
- Double-angular contact output bearings to prevent premature wear
- Roller idler and drive bearings to maintain perfect gear meshing
